What are your plans for Easter? Will you be planning an egg hunt? Going to a Sunrise Service? Let us know at lara@thefish959.com.
Have you considered sponsoring a World Vision child? The Fish has "adopted" a village in Zambia called Makungwa, and our goal is to find a sponsor for every single child that lives there. You can click on the World Vision banner on our homepage and look at the kids in the village that are praying for a sponsor! For just about $1 a day, you can make sure that a child receives things like improved nutrition, educational opportunities, access to clean water, medical care, and more! Plus, your family gets to write letters and really get to know your child, and you will also get access to "My Sponsorship" when you sign up. It's the Facebook of sponsorship, with even more ways to connect to our Fish village and your special child. And you know what rocks? In addition to taking care of a child's basic necessities, you give that precious little one hope! Your sponsorship sends a message that they have not been forgotten, and that you believe they are worth investing in. As we celebrate Easter, and the fact that we have a new life in Christ, I pray that you will extend hope to a child who has nothing, and really let them know that we love them because He first loved us. Thank you for your heart for the poor! And I would love to hear about YOUR World Vision child. Your stories always make me cry, but I love reading them and sharing them with our Fish Family.
How 'bout breakfast with MERCYME?! You could chow down with the guys at Rockwell's Bakery in Villa Park, and then watch an exclusive performance. COOL! You can find complete contest details in our Station Events section, but basically we are asking you to nominate the kindest, most loving and giving person you know.
Dallas has found a new way to eat his pureed peas! He dips his hand in the spoon, puts that in his mouth, and then tries to hold my hand. :-)
Have you heard "Before The Morning" by Josh Wilson? We are getting so many requests for this. He wrote this for a friend's son, who had a congenital heart defect and wasn't supposed to live. That little boy is now 8! God is good!!!
