If you are caring for your mom or dad, but you are feeling overwhelmed and in need of help, I hope that you will call or visit Acacia Adult Day Services in Garden Grove! I stopped by a few weeks ago to meet everyone and take a look around (my dad is in his 80s), and I was so impressed by what a beautiful, warm, and FUN place it is. There's a workout room with all kinds of physical therapy/gym equipment (I saw some really cute older ladies chatting while on bikes!), a lovely outdoor garden, a bright and sunny main room where some of the guests were helping to prepare lunch, and so much more. Plus, the staff is amazing! Your mom or dad could spend the day here while you work or just take a break (I think most people don't understand how tough it is to care for someone 24/7....caregivers are truly amazing), and they'll have fun making friends and doing activities while Acacia's trained, wonderful staff supervises everything.
