I just got an email from a mom who is trying to raise money to send her daughter on a missions trip with her youth group. I"ve talked to folks who've made that happen by sending fundraising letters to everyone they know, having carwashes, bakes sales, and garage sales, and by selling jewelry (www.goldguys.com is a great place to start for that--we work with these guys and trust them).
