Valentine's Day Quotes You Can Use To Impress Your Sweetie

Sometimes, when you feel like you don't know what to say, it's helpful to look to eloquent folks who never seemed to be at a loss for words. Here are a few of my favorite love quotes that you can recite to your beloved or write on the inside of a card (GUYS, ladies love when you do that stuff!). And whether you are single, engaged, or have been married for 40 years, I wish you the BEST Valentine's Day ever!

1.  "Nobody has ever measured, not even poets, how much the heart can hold." Zelda Fitzgerald (wife of F. Scott)

2. "For the heart is an organ of fire." Michael Ondaatje, in his book The English Patient (I cry just thinking about Ralph Fiennes in that movie!)

3. "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.  Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.  It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away." 1 Corinthians 13:4-8

4. "The heart has its reasons, of which reason knows nothing." Blaise Pascal

5. "We can do no great things, only small things with great love." Mother Teresa

6. "You know you're in love when you can't fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams." Dr. Seuss

7. "The essential things in life are seen not with the eyes, but with the heart." Antoine de Saint Exupery

8. "Can miles truly separate you from friends...if you want to be with someone you love, aren't you already there?" Richard Bach
