D-Day

Our friend Dell sent this email and link:
It amazes me how this anniversary sneaks up on us every year and is overlooked by so many. It was such a turning point in our world as we know it today, yet as the generation that was involved dies out it seems that so many are willing to let the memory of what was accomplished (and lost) that day and in the days following die out right along with them. I think that's a shame. Just because June 6th doesn't align with Memorial Day or Veterans Day doesn't mean it should be overlooked, and I hope you'll take a couple of minutes to think about all of those scared sons and fathers that went onto those beaches and jumped out of those planes so that we could sit here today, 64 years later, and freely read e-mails and go about our days.
This is not political, it's just right to never forget.

God bless us all.
